We are a system of structured state organs with functional independence from any other organ or body of the State and the Government, subordinate, in the hierarchical order, to the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State. Our exclusive responsibility corresponds to the function of imparting justice on behalf of the Cuban people.

We assume our work as public servants in charge of providing access to justice, judicial protection and legal security to people, institutions, entities, and society in general, assuring them effective legal protection of their rights and guarantees, based on compliance with the Constitution and other laws in force.

In the exercise of the jurisdictional function, we are recognized and motivated by fundamental values, such as a sense of fairness, judicial independence, impartiality, transparency, probity, humanism, honesty, quality, responsibility and patriotism.

Contributing, with our work, to improving the quality of life of people, citizen security, order and legality in Cuban society is the main duty and reason for personal and institutional fulfillment.

Impart justice and ensure the processing and resolution of judicial matters with adherence to the law, sense of fairness, rationality, promptness, respect for the guarantees of the parties, transparency and timely and effective compliance with decisions, thus contributing to the realization full of rights and compliance with the duties and obligations of natural and legal persons, the well-being of citizens, legal certainty, sustainability and the development of socialist society.

To be an institution that guarantees compliance with the Constitution and the laws, with directors, judges, secretaries, judicial assistants and other workers, creditors of prestige, authority and social recognition for their accessible, professional, transparent and reliable performance.

Function

Attention to the population in the People's Courts is offered every business day and during working hours, in a place with the necessary conditions to guarantee adequate privacy.

In the Popular Municipal Courts, the President and the Judicial Secretary are in charge of attending and processing the population's proposals or those complaints or denunciations that are made against the auxiliary personnel. The accusations that are related to the judges are immediately received and forwarded to the Secretary of the Governing Council of the corresponding Provincial Court for processing, communicating this to the promoter; in the same way it is proceeded in those cases that due to its content warrant it.
