JOVELLANOS PHARMACY BASED BUSINESS UNIT

Higher Organization of Business Management to which the UEB is subordinated: The entity is subordinated to the Provincial Pharmacy and Optical Company Matanzas
The corporate purpose, as it is called by the Resolution of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, was approved by this Organism through Resolution No.527 of 2011 signed by Adel Yzquierdo Minister of the branch and by Resolution 115 of 2011 signed by Tania León Silveira as President of the Provincial Assembly of the Popular Power of Matanzas, with the following description:
1. To commercialize, in Cuban pesos, medicines, healing materials and aseptic material of national and imported production, according to nomenclature approved by the Ministry of Internal Commerce.
2. Produce and commercialize, in a wholesale and retail way, medicines of natural origin, peloids, mineral medicinal waters, homeopathic and floral remedies, as well as medicines of dispensary production and other products authorized by the Ministry of Public Health.
3. Commercialize medical effects in retail and in Cuban pesos, according to nomenclature approved by the Ministry of Internal Trade.
4. Provide rental services of medical equipment, eventually available, in Cuban pesos.
5. Provide transportation services for medications and other medical products in Cuban pesos.
6. Provide canteen and cafeteria services to its workers in Cuban pesos.
Range of products and services it generates
Currently for the generation of the products and services that constitute its corporate purpose, the entity has the following activities:
Provision of pharmaceutical services and medical effects to the population, as well as the production of medicines and their marketing to institutions in the territory.
